All dogs have some prey drive but now we seeing dogs bred for generations for high prey drive. I love my Mastiff who does not have all this almost uncontrollable prey drive. Few people unless they going to do sport need all that.
People seem to be confused as to what a protection dog does. They watch too many Lee Robinson videos and come away with the FALSE impression that prey drive is for protection work…
I did this mistake with my rottie. She already had an enormous prey drive as a puppy and I maxed it out to the level of a Mali because that is what is being taught. People mix sport and police apprehension as defence. Next dog will be different
